Last night, South-African rockers KONGOS took the Vic Theatre in Chicago, IL by storm. They played a fun, flawless set to an even more enthusiastic crowd that screamed every word right back to them. The set was filled with a great mix of songs from their first two albums, and their most recent release Egomaniac, which was released earlier this year. The setlist even included covers of “Come Together” by The Beatles and “Blue Monday” by New Order. KONGOS stage production lit up the venue and perfectly matched the heavy drum beats and complimented the band’s stage set-up perfectly.
KONGOS will be spending the rest of October finishing up the Egomaniac tour across North America. The band is receiving support from The Joy Formidable and Arkells (on select dates). Head over to KONGOS website for tour dates and ticket information!
