Earlier tonight, Fall Out Boy released the newest music video installment of “The Young Blood Chronicles.” I highly suggest watching the first five episodes before watching this one, just because there’s an over arcing story that goes along with all of them. The first five episodes can be found here, and there is still another 5 episodes to go!
Earlier this week, Twenty One Pilots released a new music video for their song “House of Gold” off of their most recent album, Vessel.
Later this fall, Twenty One Pilots will be embarking on their biggest headlining tour yet with support from Robert Delong, Smallpools, and Sirah. Click here for tour dates and tickets!
On Monday, Fall Out Boy released the music video for their new song “Love, Sex, Death.” This song is part of a new punk/hardcore project called Pax Am Days that’s being produced by Ryan Adams. This really isn’t the Fall Out Boy sound that I’m used to, but I like how it’s sounding so far, so it will be interesting to see how the whole album turns out.
Pax Am Days is going to be released on October 15th digitally and as a deluxe reissue of Fall Out Boy’s most recent album, Save Rock and Roll. It will be released on vinyl on November 29th. You can preorder Pax Am Days here.
Yesterday, the hip-hop duo that’s slowly taking over the world, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, released a new music video for their song “White Walls”, which is the 4th single off their album The Heist. If you’re not familiar with Macklemore’s crazy music video concepts, then it would be hard for you to understand that this video is not out of character for him at all. His music videos always make me crack up (and I’m sure the same goes for many other people) and this video is no exception. I’m glad that “White Walls” is the next single off The Heist, this song will help to show people who haven’t listened to the album yet just how diverse it is.
I can’t wait to see what crazy stuff Macklemore and Ryan Lewis come up with next. Make sure to check them out on their US tour later this fall!
A couple days ago, some news surfaced in the pop punk community, saying that All Time Low was set to release a re-issue of their latest album Don’t Panic and it was set to have a song featuring the one and only Vic Fuentes of Pierce The Veil on it. Well, today, it all came true! On Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat’s radio show, Full Frontal, earlier today, they closed out their show by premiering “A Love Like War”.
Being the massive fan that I am of All Time Low and Pierce The Veil, I couldn’t of been more excited about the release of this song. I love the vibe from the song, it suits All Time Low well, but it also gives off a bit of a harder rock vibe which I assume is influence from Pierce The Veil. I couldn’t be happier about the outcome of this song, and I can’t wait to see what All Time Low does with their re-issue of Don’t Panic.
Earlier today, British rockers You Me At Six premiered their new single “Lived A Lie”, off their upcoming record Cavalier Youth. Mere hours after premiering the song, the band released the music video. After listening to the song many times since it’s release earlier today, I’ve fallen in love with it. I do realize that I say that about a lot of music, but this song is a classic You Me At Six tune (in a totally good way). Listening to the song and watching the music video multiple times, I’m beyond ready for the band’s new album. I can’t wait to hear what they have in store for the fans!
Over the past month or two, I’ve tried to figure out how to get YouTube videos in my posts and I finally figured out how to make it work. So, as the first installation of my “Music Video” tag, I would like to present to you the video for “Demons” by: Imagine Dragons. I chose this video for two reasons – first, I absolutely love this song, and, second, the story the video tells is awesome.
Out of the two reasons as to why I chose this video, the second reason is really the one I’m going to focus on more. The video for “Demons” accurately portrays the power of music and how it can help people through hard times. This video tells the story of three unnamed characters, and it takes the viewers through the hard times or the inner demons each character is dealing with. But, all the characters are tied together in the sense that they’re all at an Imagine Dragons concert. I think that each character shown in this video accurately shows how strong the power of music is. Music and concerts bring people together, and they allow people to forget about everything else that’s going on in their lives, even if it’s just for a few minutes. The power of music is something that I feel is strongly underestimated, and I think this music video really opens up and precisely displays the influence music has on people and their lives.
In my mind, music is a force that shouldn’t be messed with, and this video only scratches the surface on showing that concept to the world.
